Weather Watch

November 29, 2009

We all witnessed how typhoon Ondoy, and the rest of typhoons that followed, brought tragedy to our country. Perhaps, what just happened is only a consequence to the destruction we inflicted on earth irresponsible waste disposals, non-stop cutting of trees, unprotected waterways and the like. If we think just a little deeper, Mother Nature is only bringing back to us what we adversely gave her.

We take this fact, while flash floods hit the Philippines during the Ondoy onslaught, drought at the same time worsens in India. Who is blame for this catatrophies? Think pause and reflect it an not be denied that natures interaction is dependent on peoples actions.

Let the tragedies not only be lessons to reflect on, let it be grounds in order for the people to start working out for the good. Overcoming a disaster may only be a matter of becoming individuals who fend for mother earth and keen in keeping weather watch.
